50 Cent First Pitch MLB

50 Cent’s Awkward First Pitch

Curtis Jackson, known as the rapper 50 Cent, is a world-famous hip hop artist and actor. He is also known for throwing one of the most awkward first pitches in baseball history. He is not the only bad celebrity first pitch out there, but he is one of the most memorable.

On May 27, 2014, the New York Mets were playing against the Pittsburgh Pirates. 50 Cent was in attendance at Citi Field in Queens and was asked to be part of the classic first pitch ceremony.

What happened next would go down in viral video history. Jackson’s pitch could barely be considered to hit the mark. The ball goes wildly to the left and landed nowhere close to the catcher. Like many celebrity gaffs, 50’s pitch would be widely discussed and highly laughed at by the internet.

50 Cent was a good sport about the entire situation. He made a variety of humorous social media posts about what happened. He also told Newsday in 2018 that he wants a second chance to redeem himself.
