AFI (A Fire Inside) is a punk rock band from Ukiah, California. The band’s current lineup includes Davey Havok on vocals, Adam Carson on drums, Hunter Burgan on bass, and Jade Puget on guitar. Former members include Vic Chalker, Geoff Kresge, and Mark Stopholese.
AFI started in 1991 and released their first full-length album, Answer That And Stay Fashionable, in 1995. In total, the band has released 10 full-length albums.
AFI has been one of my favorite bands for most of my life. I first heard them on the video game Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and have been in love ever since. Sadly, I have not been able to see them live (yet). However, I do have The Art of Drowning on grey and black marble vinyl that is a prized piece of my vinyl collection.
