DMX (Earl Simmons) was a hip hop artist from New York. He released eight full-length albums and had a long acting career for both film and television. Sadly, DMX passed away on April 9th, 2021.
I started listening to DMX when I was nine years old after seeing his music video for Ruff Ryder’s anthem. He is an artist that I’ve followed throughout my adolescence and adulthood. Though he was never one of my favorite hip hop artists, his music has been a constant throughout my life.
Today I want to go over some of my favorite DMX quotes. Though he was mostly known for being a gangster rapper, many of his songs and interviews were filled with introspection and insight.
