Death Stranding Sequel Confirmed
It’s been seemingly confirmed by Norman Reedus that Hideo Kojima‘s immaculate Death Stranding video game will be getting a sequel. Death Stranding came out near the end of 2019 and it changed a lot of the ways we play video games. It’s a philosophical and meditative game with plenty of room for growth. Besides receiving a director’s cut of the game, fans have been waiting in anticipation for updates on a sequel. In an interview, Norman Reedus had this to say about the project:
We just started working on the second one… It took me maybe two or three years to finish all the mocap sessions and everything. It takes a lot of work. And then the game came out, and it just won all these awards, and it was a huge thing, so we just started part two of that.
Norman Reedus played the pivotal role of Sam Bridges in the first Death Stranding and it looks like he’ll be reprising his role for the sequel. Death Stranding was a major success for Kojima, selling over 5 million copies, so it’s very surprising he’s been so silent. Kojima has made one tweet regarding the interview Norman Reedus did and though cryptic it seems to be a joke, telling Reedus to be quiet about it. Regardless, we’re here for Death Stranding 2 whenever that may be.
From game creator Hideo Kojima comes the genre-defying experience Death Stranding. After the collapse of civilization, Sam Bridges must journey across a ravaged landscape crawling with otherworldly threats to save mankind.
