We’re glad that Earl is back making music again! I’ve listened to ‘Sick’ in it’s entirety twice since it came out today. The production on this album is fantastic. The chill lofi beats fit really well with Earl intricate and insightful lyrics.
‘Sick!’ serves as a bit of a rebirth for Earl Sweatshirt. This is Earl’s first full-length album in four years. Earl has been in the spotlight since he was a teenager. He is also new father. ‘Sick!’ seems to be Earl’s transition into his adult self.
I think all of this is awesome and very relatable, at least to me. Though I am five years older than Earl, I also had children later in life than Earl did. Earl’s career and music have kind of grown alongside my own life, and I am glad that I’ve had his music by my side to help me while going through my own problems.
I look forward to hearing more about Earl Sweatshirt’s new views on life and continuing to bond with his music as I have for the past decade. For chill beats and great lyrics, make sure to check out ‘Sick!’.
