About Enter Shikari’s The Voice Stares Back
Enter Shikari’s The Void Stares Back was released on August 12th, 2022, and the music video premiered on August 30th, 2022. The video was directed by Elliott Gonzo, produced by Nathan Gillham and Dave Gourlay, and features visual fx by Harvey McGarry.
The Void Stares Back almost has vibes of Orgy’s Vapor Transmission with Wargasm giving off some major Die Antwoord looks and sounds, birthing something overly original and agreeable.
Although an album hasn’t been dropped yet, Enter Shikari also released their single ‘Bull’ featuring Cody Frost.

Watch The Void Stares Back
The visual effects used in The Void Stares Back are both hypnotizing and terrifying. They seem to rock the cradle enough to have you following along but then turn into a full hurricane as you are dragged along for the terror. One way to look at it is to think “What if The Matrix was somewhat liquid?”
It is great of Enter Shikari to have The Void Stares Back start off sounding like Prodigy “Smack My Bitch Up” and make the video equally as trippy. The music video features one individual being trapped in a building and being chased by a video recording drone, perhaps a symbol of feeling confined in your work with a constant audience seeking you out.
