John The Swamp Dude: The Last Outpost Review

This is a spoiler-free review of John The Swamp Dude: The Last Outpost.

This is not the first PLB Comics issue that I’ve reviewed. I love all of The Talented creators that work for this company.

One of the things I love about the artwork in John The Swamp Dude is the black and white aesthetic. Though John the Swamp Dude is very comedic at times, there is always a lot of action to be had. I think the black and white artwork of John the Swamp Dude really lends itself to the story and content found within the pages.

The creative team at PLB Comics does an excellent job at world-building. The universe of John the Swamp Dude is bizarre, fun, and action-packed. This makes for an immersive reading experience as you get to learn about the various aspects of the universe that Josh Shockley is created.

I have always been a fan of Dufendach’s lettering. All the dialogue is done through traditional speech bubbles. The narration boxes look like torn paper with a black background and white text. This is a very creative way to show narration in the story, especially with the comic being black and white.

John The Swamp Dude does an excellent job with character design. All the characters are very unique and fleshed out. This is a big part of what makes John The Swamp Dude’s universe so interesting. There are not a lot of standard monsters and creatures in this comic series. All the characters have their own unique style and personality.

John The Swamp Dude The Last Outpost Preview

John The Swamp Dude: The Last Outpost is an excellent first issue a new series of John The Swamp Dude stories. This issue serves as a great jumping-in point for new readers, as well as an exciting new adventure for fans of the series. I can’t wait to see what happens next with John The Swamp Dude. This has been one of my favorite comic series over the past few years.

I would recommend this comic book to anyone who is interested in fantasy and action stories. I would also recommend this comic to anyone interested in anti-hero and comedic storytelling. I won’t spoil anything here, but the ending of this comic has a crazy plot twist that will leave you wanting more. I am excited to see where the rest of this mini-series takes us.

I love PLB Comics because they make and publish their own comic books. The entire team serves as an excellent example of how powerful independent art can be, especially independent comic books.
