Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Sandwich Cookies
Every few seconds (it has to be that quick, I’m sure of it) there’s a familiar product giving us another version of itself. It always seems the most prominent snacks and candies try to appeal to foodies trying to broaden the horizon of their life. The cookie turf is one of the most fiercely competitive. We have both the top tier and the ‘lack of effort’ store brand versions. Sometimes though, those store versions have the oomph, take Twist & Shouts for example.
If you’re like me, you take favor to the “sandwich cookies” from Oreo. You also love the store-brand versions, and the freezer aisle with those cookie ice cream sandwiches. I definitely had a cake made as an ice cream cookie. Thanks, mom. Color me both surprised and unfazed when I see Oreo has another slab of cookies ready to go under a new banner, Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Sandwich Cookies.
The way these are set up is a great-looking change as they’re going with the vanilla cookies. The dual cremes are peanut butter and chocolate. I’ve yet to have a smooth peanut butter that I didn’t like and furthermore, chocolate is undeniable. Is this the chemistry dish that takes cookies beyond our galaxy or is this just biological warfare in fancy packaging?
Nutrition Facts for Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Sandwich Cookies
One of my biggest complaints when it comes to getting a sweet treat is how low the serving size is. Do I understand why? Yes. Can I still hate it? Also yes. You don’t have to like all of the pieces to appreciate the whole. Trust me as a gamer, a tech person, and a guy that experiments with writing comedy, I have a firm grasp on it. So why don’t I like this for candies and cookies?
A serving size is TWO COOKIES (a pox on sweets being evil! A pox!) and both (I’m leaning heavy here) of those will net you 140 calories, 6g total fat, 1.5g saturated fat, 0g trans fat, 0mg cholesterol, 90mg sodium, 21g total carbohydrates, 1g dietary fiber, 11g total sugars, 11g added sugars, and 1g protein.
Now I’m reasonable enough to see that I can stretch my serving if I want to, but seeing it put in those black-and-white terms really hurts. I have only come back to sweets as I’ve been writing about them and I would like to see them at some point go “Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Sandwich Cookies are so good for you, have 6.” Be still my heart, one day.
We Don’t Have Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake, Is Oreo Okay?
To say I didn’t clutch these Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Cookies tight until I was checked out might be a lie, but my primitive curiosity wanted to make sure I still at least had the skill as a gatherer. Surely, chocolate and peanut butter would not let me down. Surely, Oreo would not start launching a series of bad flavors to spite my gathering skills!
Just so you know, I’ve still got it. These cookies in separate flavors would be agreeable but all combined, you’re really getting a pie in your eye here. Rich robust chocolate with the smooth and sweet peanut butter and the vanilla hints from the cookie all come together to make a cookie a pie. Is it good? Is winning the lottery on a multiple-billion dollar payout good? Depends on if you want to complain about having to pay to play.
Oreo Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie Sandwich Cookies easily smash their promises and earn a 9/10 and are a revisit, with no hesitation. Now, if they want the elusive 10, I’ll drop the cheat code right here: Dip them in fudge. As it stands, if your sweet tooth needs some attention, definitely give it these cookies and your mouth will sing your praises even if those are painful lamentations because sugar and teeth are no-nos.
