About The FNAF 1 Trailer

The original trailer for the Five Nights At Freddy’s game was released on June 14th, 2014. It was posted on FNAF creator Scott Cawthon’s YouTube channel.

The trailer has some text that describes the game:

During the day, it’s a place of joy

But you aren’t here during the day

You have the night watch.

Limited Power

Limited Visibility

Limited Time

This was the first look we got at the franchise that would change both horror gaming and indie gaming forever. This game takes the uncanny nostalgia of children’s play establishments and turns it into a claustrophobic nightmare.

This game also takes the familiar gaming trope of resource management and uses it to create a sense of paranoia. This isn’t Roller Coaster Tycoon or Sim City where bad management means unhappy customers and less money. If you don’t manage your resources properly in FNAF, you get stuffed into a Freddy Fazbear suit.

A funny thing about this trailer is that we get to see Bonnie running down the hallways. FNAF veterans know that in the final game, it is Foxy that runs after the player.

We also see Bonnie taking off the face plate of his endoskeleton. Though this does not happen in the final game, it does help set up the look of Withered Bonnie in Five Nights At Freddy’s 2.
