Everyone’s favorite half-driving half-soccer game is now entering it’s 6th season! Rocket League Season 6 begins at 8AM on Wednesday, March 9th, 2022.
Season 6, along with its accompanying V2.12 patch, packs a lot of new features and updates. This includes new items, a reskinned arena, and multiple changes to the chat system.

Changes And Updates
You can view the full patch notes for patch V2.12 (Season 6 Patch) on Rocket League’s official website. This patch will be available for Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Steam, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
A New Arena Skin
As seen in Playstation’s gameplay trailer, Neo Tokyo is getting a new colorful update. In the patch notes, this level variant is referred to as ‘Neo Toyko (Comic)’. This level will be available in Private Matches and Free Play.
Blocking And Reporting Players
There are multiple changes to the chat system and menus in this patch. Most of these changes are cosmetic and simply change the location or wording of the mute and block options. The ‘Mute All’ button has been removed, but chat settings can still be altered in the Settings menu.
Other Changes
There are a few other minor changes worth mentioning. The playlists for Rocket League OST Volume 1 and Volume 2 have been removed. Patch V2.12 also includes over a dozen bug fixes. Many of these bug fixes address visual errors with car colors and decals.
