Who said social media only has to be people yelling and being mean to each other? Sometimes you get a fun exchange of words between notable figures. On April 11th, Star Wars star Mark Hamill tweeted “miss me?”. This prompted the official Star Wars Twitter account to respond with “Oh hi, Mark.”
Oh hi, Mark.

This was obviously an homage to the fan-favorite line from Tommy Wiseau‘s 2003 film The Room. For the uninitiated, The Room is a drama about a man who finds out his girlfriend is sleeping with his best friend. Critically, it is know as being one of the worst-made movies of all him. However, over the past 19 years the film has gained a Rocky Horror-esque cult following.
In response to the exchange between Mark Hamill and Star Wars, on May 1, 2022 Tommy Wiseau tweeted “YOU’RE TEARING ME APART Star wars! Don’t be chicken put me in your Universe! Love you all, tW”
Now this could just be a silly series of social media interactions. However, this is Tommy Wiseau we are talking about. There is a chance that he is 100% serious about having a role in the Star Wars universe. I mean, who doesn’t want to be in Star Wars?

That has been a lot of our dreams and fantasies since we were children. What would the Star Wars universe look like with Tommy Wiseau in it? If The Mandalorian can cast comedian Bill Burr, there surely is a place for Tommy in the far far away galaxy.
